Getting started

What do I need?

An iPhone with iOS 17 or later. No account is required.

How do I create a goal?

Tap Create a goal (or New goal in the goal switcher at the top of Today). Describe what you want, answer any of the optional questions, then review the route and tap Start this route. Nothing becomes your plan until you confirm it.

Can I use Waystone without AI?

Yes. Choose Plan without AI on the AI screen, or turn AI off later in Me → Privacy & data. You can add milestones and steps yourself.

Day to day

I couldn't do today's step. Now what?

Open the step and tap Couldn't do it. Pick a reason if you like, then try the 2-minute version, move it to another day, skip it, or ask for a plan adjustment. Missing a step never marks your goal as failed.

How does a milestone get completed?

When the steps in a stage are done, Waystone asks whether you reached the milestone. You decide. If you marked one by mistake, open the milestone and choose Reopen milestone.

How do I switch, pause or archive a goal?

Tap the goal name at the top of Today to switch. To pause, complete, archive or delete, go to the Goals tab, open the goal and use the ••• menu.

How do reminders work?

Turn on a daily reminder in Me → Reminders and pick a time. There's at most one per day, and missing a day never adds more. Pause nudges silences reminders and suggestions.

AI features

It says I've used today's AI requests.

To keep the service fair and affordable there's a daily limit. Manual planning keeps working, and the limit resets the next day.

It says I'm offline, or the route couldn't be built.

Check your connection and tap Try again. Your draft is saved, and you can always choose Build it myself.

The AI suggested something that doesn't fit.

Every suggestion is optional. Untick the changes you don't want, or tap Not now. You can also add a note such as “weekends only” and ask again.

Your data

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone only. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I export or delete everything?

Go to Me → Privacy & data and choose Export my data (a JSON file) or Delete all data.

I'm switching to a new iPhone.

Your Waystone data moves with an iCloud or computer backup restored to the new phone. Exporting a JSON file first is a good extra copy.

How do I change the language?

Waystone follows your iPhone's language. To change it for Waystone only, open Settings → Apps → Waystone → Language.
